Fibre connectivity & optics

Slow copper, jittery Teams calls, backups that never finish? Go fibre and remove the bottleneck.

Whether you need full-fibre internet into the building, a dedicated leased line, or fibre backbones between cabinets and buildings, we scope, install and test it end-to-end — splicing, OTDR results and clean documentation included.

What’s going wrong

Upload kills productivity

Cloud apps, video calls and offsite backups stall on ADSL/FTTC uploads.

Unpredictable latency

Shared copper routes add jitter — VoIP/Teams suffer and VPNs crawl.

Single point of failure

One flaky line = downtime. No clean failover or resilience plan.

The fix

FTTP (Full Fibre to Premises)

Gigabit-capable fibre replaces copper. Better upload, lower latency and stable video calls.

Ethernet Leased Line

Dedicated uncontended bandwidth (e.g. 100/100, 500/500, 1000/1000) with SLAs and symmetric speeds.

Internal fibre & links

Fibre backbones between cabinets/outbuildings; splicing, patching, labelled and OTDR-tested.

Choose the right route

Three common fibre options we deliver.

FTTP (GPON)

Best first step from copper. Great for offices needing reliable upload and better latency without leased line costs.

Ethernet Leased Line

Dedicated fibre with symmetrical bandwidth and business SLAs. Ideal for voice, VPN, cloud and multi-site links.

Internal Fibre / Backbones

Single-mode & multi-mode, splicing, patching, labelled trays, as-builts and OTDR test results you can rely on.

Typical pricing (guide)

Clear expectations — we confirm exact costs after survey.

Leased Line

~ £200–£450 / month
  • Dedicated symmetric bandwidth
  • Business SLA & proactive monitoring
  • Typical lead times: 45–90 days

Internal Fibre

POA (fixed install)
  • Splicing, trays & labelled patching
  • OTDR results & as-built drawings
  • Nights/weekends available
Prices vary by location, bearer size and term. We’ll check carriers, lead times and civils before confirming a fixed proposal.
How we deliver

From availability check to live fibre with minimal disruption.

1) Check

Address check, carrier options, FTTP vs Ethernet, target speeds and term.

2) Survey

Desktop & on-site if needed; wayleave/civils planned; internal routes agreed.

3) Install

Fibre pulled/spliced. ONT or NTE fitted, cabinet terminations labelled.

4) Configure

Router/firewall, failover paths, QoS for VoIP/Teams, handoff to LAN/WAN.

5) Test & handover

OTDR and light-level tests, as-builts, guidance for IT and support contacts.

Quick answers

What most teams ask us.

FTTP or Leased Line — which should we choose?
FTTP is a great, low-cost upgrade from copper with better upload and latency. If you need guaranteed, symmetric bandwidth and SLAs (voice, VPN, multi-site), go Leased Line.
Can we have resilience?
Yes — e.g., Leased Line + FTTP/4G backup with automatic failover. We’ll design the router/firewall to switch without dropping calls.
Do you provide the router and set up QoS?
We can supply and configure your router/firewall, prioritising VoIP/Teams and critical traffic. Or we’ll work with your IT provider.
What about internal links between buildings?
We install and splice single-mode/multi-mode runs between cabinets/outbuildings, label everything, and provide OTDR results and as-built drawings.
Will there be downtime?
We plan cutovers out of hours where needed and keep your old link active until tests pass. For internal fibre, we phase works to avoid disruption.
