Networks for practices, clinics and care homes.

Healthcare settings can't close for an install, and the systems they rely on — clinical software, phones, Wi-Fi and alarms — have to work every hour of the day. We plan the work around patients and staff, keep it clean, and leave the network documented.

In short

What does a healthcare setting need from its network?

Reliability and minimal disruption. GP practices, clinics and care homes depend on clinical systems, phones and Wi-Fi throughout the day, so the network has to be dependable and any work has to happen without interrupting care.

It also has to be installed with care for the environment: clean working, controlled access to clinical areas and engineers who are appropriately checked.

How we work

Installed around patients and staff.

We agree access and timings with the practice or home manager before we start, and follow your site's rules for clinical and resident areas.

Timing

Out of hours where needed

Work in clinical and resident areas is scheduled for evenings, weekends or quieter periods.

Clean working

Dust and debris controlled

Dust control, clean-down after each session and agreed routes through the building.

People

DBS-checked engineers

Our engineers are DBS checked, so they can work in settings with patients and vulnerable residents.

Phone line switch-off

Check alarms and care lines before January 2027.

The old copper phone network closes on 31 January 2027. In care settings, that can affect more than the phones: alarm diallers, door entry, lift lines and some care and telecare equipment may rely on an analogue line. We help you find what's connected, move phones and internet onto digital services and test equipment before the switch. See our PSTN switch-off guide.

FAQs

Healthcare networks, answered.

Tell us about the practice or home and what needs doing, and we'll plan the work around you.

Can you work without disrupting patients or residents?

Yes. We schedule work in clinical and resident areas for out of hours or quieter periods, agree access with the manager, and keep disruption to a minimum.

Are your engineers DBS checked?

Yes. Our engineers are DBS checked for work in settings with patients and vulnerable people.

How do you keep the work clean?

We control dust, clean down after each session and follow your site's infection prevention and control requirements and access rules.

Will the PSTN switch-off affect our alarms or care equipment?

Possibly. Equipment that relies on an analogue phone line — alarm diallers, door entry, lift lines and some care equipment — needs checking before 31 January 2027. We can help you identify what's connected and plan the move.

Can you set up separate Wi-Fi for staff and visitors?

Yes. We separate staff and guest networks so visitors get internet access without any route into your clinical systems.

Can you work alongside our IT provider?

Yes. We often install the cabling, Wi-Fi and phones while the practice's IT provider manages the computers and clinical systems, and we hand over with everything documented.
